Who is this for?

The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety for Fire Marshals (RQF) is intended for those that are undertaking the role of a fire marshal in a workplace. The qualification builds on the QNUK Level 1 Award in Fire Awareness at Work (RQF) and includes safe evacuation and personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS).

This qualification will provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to support a role of Fire Marshal in the workplace, enhancing a learner’s employability and develops the learner’s knowledge of fire safety in the workplace including the use of a range of fire controls and safe evacuation procedures. The learner will understand the role of Fire Safety for Fire Marshals in supporting individuals and facilitating safe evacuations. The qualification supports a role in the workplace.

Pre-Requisites:

This qualification is available to those over 14 years, however employers should ensure that fire marshals are suitable to undertake the role of a fire marshal.

Learners should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent

Course Elements:

LO1 The learner will understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace

LO2 The learner will know how to use a range of fire controls

LO3 The learner will understand the importance of a prompt and safe evacuation of the workplace

LO4 The learner will know how to support individuals during an evacuation

LO5 The learner will understand the role of the Fire Marshal in the workplace
